Introduction
Bold Signal ("we," "us," "our," or "Company") operates the Signal Garden platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our services.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
When you use Signal Garden, you provide us with: Domain names you audit, email address (if you create an account), optional name and company information in your account profile, and communication preferences. We do NOT collect or store credit card information — all payment processing is handled securely by Stripe.
Information from Third-Party Services
We use Clerk for authentication. Clerk collects and manages your authentication credentials according to their privacy policy. We use Stripe for billing and subscription management. Stripe collects and processes payment information according to their privacy policy.
Automatically Collected Information
We collect usage data including: which domains you audit, when audits occur, audit results and scores, browser type and operating system, IP address and general location, pages visited and time spent, and referring website information. This helps us improve the platform and understand user behavior.
What We Don't Collect
We explicitly do NOT collect or store: credit card numbers or sensitive payment details (handled entirely by Stripe), personally identifiable information beyond what you voluntarily provide, health or financial information about your business (we only see audit results), biometric data, or sensitive personal data without your explicit consent.
How We Use Your Information
Service Delivery
To provide, operate, and maintain the Signal Garden platform; to perform audits and generate reports; to process your subscription and billing; and to send you service-related communications.
Communication
To respond to your inquiries; to send you updates about your account; to notify you of changes to our services; and to send optional marketing communications (which you can opt out of at any time).
Analytics & Improvement
To understand how users interact with Signal Garden; to identify and fix technical issues; to improve features and user experience; and to develop new features based on user behavior.
Legal Compliance
To comply with applicable laws and regulations; to enforce our Terms & Conditions; to protect against fraud and abuse; and to protect the rights, privacy, and safety of our users and the public.
How We Share Your Information
Third-Party Service Providers
We share necessary information with Clerk (authentication), Stripe (billing), and hosting providers (server infrastructure). These services have their own privacy policies and data handling practices.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request. We will provide notice when possible, unless legally prohibited.
Business Transfers
If Bold Signal is involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
With Your Consent
We may share your information with other parties when you explicitly consent to such sharing.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including: encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure data storage, access controls limiting employee access to necessary data, regular security assessments, and vulnerability management. However, no security system is impenetrable. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. Some data may be retained for longer periods if required by law or for legitimate business purposes. Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for analytics.
Your Privacy Rights
Access & Portability
You have the right to access, review, and request a copy of your personal data. You can export your account information at any time.
Correction & Deletion
You can update or correct your account information. You have the right to request deletion of your account and associated personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
Opt-Out
You can opt out of marketing communications by clicking the unsubscribe link in emails or updating your communication preferences in your account settings.
GDPR Rights (EU Residents)
If you're in the EU, you have additional rights including: the right to be informed about data processing, the right to access, the right to rectification, the right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"), the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability, and the right to object to processing. Cookies & Tracking
Signal Garden uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance user experience and analytics. Essential cookies are required for the service to function. Analytics cookies help us understand user behavior (via services like analytics platforms). You can control cookie preferences in your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect functionality.
Children's Privacy
Signal Garden is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information and terminate the child's account. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided information to us should contact us immediately.
Third-Party Links
Signal Garden may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services before providing your information.

Consulting Services
Separate Privacy Terms
Bold Signal also offers consulting and advisory services beyond Signal Garden. If you engage with us for consulting services, your data and privacy are governed by a separate consulting agreement and statement of work. Consulting engagements may involve different data handling practices, confidentiality obligations, and retention requirements than Signal Garden.
Consulting Data
Data collected during consulting engagements (strategy documents, audit findings, recommendations, proprietary information about your business) is treated as confidential client information. This data is handled under the terms of your specific consulting agreement, not this Privacy Policy.
Engagement-Specific Terms
Each consulting engagement includes customized privacy, confidentiality, and data handling terms appropriate to the scope of work. These terms take precedence over this general Privacy Policy for that engagement.

If you are interested in Bold Signal consulting services or need clarification on how your data is handled in a consulting engagement, please contact us at: consulting@boldsignal.xyz. We will provide you with engagement-specific privacy and confidentiality terms.
